Stephen Ministry
Caring for others through a one-on-one caring ministry to those who are experiencing transition or difficulties in life, Stephen ministers are trained lay people that provide Christian caregiving in a confidential, non-judgmental caring relationship. They are committed to providing a listening and supportive environment to those in need of care. To learn more about having a Stephen Minister or to participate in the next Stephen Ministry training, contact info@gslchurch.org.
Helping Hands
Helping Hands supplements existing informal helping networks within the church community. We deliver meals during times of stress and transition, such as recovery from surgery, a postpartum period, or during a time of acute grief. Occasionally, other kinds of help can be arranged, such as a ride to a doctor’s appointment. Contact the Helping Hands team at helpinghands@gslchurch.org for help or to serve.
Lay Eucharistic Ministry
Each month, members of Good Shepherd take communion to members and friends of our community that are unable to attend church onsite. If you or someone you care for would like to receive communion at home, contact the church office at info@gslchurch.org. Please also let us know if you would like to receive training to become a Lay Eucharistic Minister.
