Who Are We?
Good Shepherd Preschool is a ministry outreach of Good Shepherd Luthran Church and a service to the community. Our purpose is to provide a loving, caring, Christian environment that aids all children in their social, physical, emotional, and intellectual development. We encourage healthy self concepts and positive peer relationships through age-appropriate learning that involves a balance of “free-play” and interactive structured learning time. Our meaningful curriculum is responsive to individual needs and facilitates childen's knowledge of the world around them, while building a strong foundation for reading and math skills.
Good Shepherd Class Information
ALL CHILDREN will have the opportunity to attend Music & Movement class every day and attend Chapel on a weekly basis. Good Shepherd currently implements a Christian preschool curriculum published by Gospel Light titled “ Bright Beginnings- Exploring God’s World.”
Good Shepherd Preschool meets Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. with the exception of the 1 year old class that meets on Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 a.m. All children bring their lunch each day. We follow the Wake County age cut off date of October 16th for enrolling children. We reserve the right to maintain a reasonable girl/boy ratio.
