“Let us build a house where love can dwell,

And all can safely live,

A place where saints and children tell

How hearts learn to forgive.

Built of hopes and dreams and visions,

Rock of faith and vault of grace;

Here the love of Christ shall end division

All are welcome,

All are welcome,

All are welcome in this place.”  - Evangelical Lutheran Worship, 641

All means all. All abilities. All sexual orientations. Homeless and well-housed. Skeptics and convinced believers alike: all are welcome here. No exceptions.

Coffeehouse

Coffeehouse at Good Shepherd was established over 20 years ago to provide an opportunity for social interaction and fellowship between adults of all abilities. Entertainment may include live music in a variety of formats from sing-alongs to karaoke, gospel to country, jazz to folk music. Guests are invited to participate in song or relax and enjoy. Refreshments are served and conversation is always the prime ingredient as people come to make new friends, see old ones, share experiences and be entertained. There is no charge for admission.

Memory Cafe

Memory Café is a fun, safe, welcoming place for fellowship, dinner, and MUSIC! Individuals experiencing dementia and their caregivers who wish to socialize with others in similar circumstances while enjoying an evening out are invited to participate. Memory Café takes place several times a year on Monday afternoons from 4:30 – 6:00 pm at Good Shepherd.  Interested in learning more? Contact the Memory Cafe team, memorycafe@gslchurch.org.
